Pink Scrolls XML Skin

Free Blogger / Blogspot XML skin / template! Click on the image to open a new window for a larger view. This template is fixed width. This template will NOT work in "classic" Blogger mode.

This theme features a built in RSS Feed button and full support for drag and drop sidebar widgets. This is an updated remake of one of my popular classic skins.

Click Image For Larger View!!

Click Pink Scrolls Template to download the code. Only 12KB.

The images are already hosted via Photobucket, no need to download those separately!

IMPORTANT!

Make sure you backup or save your existing customizations like links and sidebar addons, hit counters, widget contents, etc. before deleting the old skin because they will be replaced by the new code. After installation just copy and paste your customizations back in from your original code.

Backing Up And Installing
Backing Up Your Old Template Data
Installing Your New XML Template

In some cases the template editor will ask to confirm the deletion of some of the widgets / page element sections. This will happen when you have widgets installed that are not included in this theme. This theme includes a bare minimum of widget elements. You should make backup copies of the contents of those widgets before deleting or you will lose the data! Once the theme is installed, you can reinstall your widget elements and complete the customization.

Your blogs title will automatically replace the title you see in the header. The description or tagline will display in the header panel, edit it in your blogs "Settings" area.

If you have any questions or problems please ask in the comments, don't email me directly! I will offer limited tech support thru the comments only!

I love this design. I used it on my blog but it ends up with stripes to the edges of the page. Is there anything I can do to change that to just a solid color? It just looks a little too 'busy". thanks

Shayle - To get rid of the stripes, open the Edit HTML page and near the top is this section:

body {
background:#FFF url("http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z203/freetemplates5/scrolls-stripe.gif");
margin:0;
padding:0;
color:#555;
font:85%/.9em Arial, Sans-serif;
text-align: center;
}

Just backspace thru the part I marked in bold. That will leave just the body background color of #FFF; and the semi-colon. You can then set that #FFF code number to any 6 digit HTML color you like. Don't erase the semi-colon after the color number.

By the way #FFF is shorthand for white.

Hi,Se7en,

Thanks for the templates. I have downloaded for 6 of my blogs..;D

However, I can't remover the 'nofollow'. After I removed and saved, I saw Error 404. What does it mean ?

Thanks

Chelle- you're welcome, thanks!!

Vedis - I'm sorry but I don't have any experience with doing the nofollow modification.

Are you publishing thru FTP? A 404 error means page not found, that sounds like a hosted blog error. If the page isn't found within Blogger I think the message is different. But I'm not sure. Sorry! You can try the Bloger help groups.
